Fathi Bashe
Fathi Bashe is a global youth and activist advocating for women’s rights, gender equality, education, and peace & security in the Horn of Africa. He has an extensive experience working with UN volunteers and multiple local organizations. Fathi has been an active member of Somaliland Life Makers (a local voluntary organization) for the last 4 years a, and the co- founded the Policy and Strategic group of One Hope Project.
Fathi firmly believes in the United Nations Principles and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and emphasizes on the importance of collective roles and responsibilities to achieve the SDGs. With this in mind, he founded Fathi Initiative, as a way of raising awareness of the SDGs among Somalis in the Horn of Africa, focusing on Goal 13 particularly. Goal 13 is a very important goal for the Horn of Africa region due to the frequent return of droughts.
